Petr Ocelík is a researcher at the International Institute of Political Science and an assistant professor at the Department of International Relations and European Studies of Masaryk University, the Czech Republic where he took his PhD in 2015. Petr is a member of the Center for Energy Studies (CENERS), a co-founder of an informal network of Czech researchers interested in social network analysis (CNSNA), and a member of the Standing Group on Political Networks in the European Consortium of Political Research (SG PN ECPR). Petr Ocelík is currently working on climate change policy in the Czech Republic (case study for the Comparing Climate Change Policies (COMPON) project), mapping inter-organizational and discourse networks. Besides, he works on issues of public opposition and acceptance of energy infrastructure as well as mining activities and mixed-method applications of social network analysis (SNA). He has published in Energy Policy, Journal of Mixed Methods Research, and Energy Research and Social Science, Politics and Governance, European Political Science, Governance among other academic journals, and has co-organized several workshops and panels on social network analysis and political networks.
