About

I am a researcher at the Center of Advanced Studies in Law (CEAD) and an Associate Professor at Lusófona University Lisbon. My interests lie in the justice and rationality of social and political institutions, uniting Rawlsian theories of fairness, Aristotelian theories of phronesis, and the comparative analysis of liberalism and neoliberalism, and gender and racial discrimination. I have published books and book chapters in De Gruyter, Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda, Peter Lang, Springer, Rowman, Littlefield International, Cambridge Scholars. I also published articles in several journals on topics such as economic rationality, liberalism and neoliberalism, democracy as demarchy, mētis, and phronesis. I have been, since 2022, a member of the Editorial Board of Humanities & Social Sciences Communications. Springer-Nature, and since February 2003 of the (Editorial Board) Critical Policy Studies.
