PhD Fellow at University of Copenhagen, Centre for European Politics (Department of Political Science) and iCourts (Faculty of Law). Research on democracy, civil society and the European Union. The PhD project is situated between the fields of political science and law with a focus on how civil society can mobilize and impact the democratic backsliding taking place in Central and Eastern Europe (case focus: Hungary and Poland) and how interaction with the EU - both its political and judicial system - might affect this. Previous research on civil society in the MENA-region and its interaction with the EU following the Arab Spring.
