Sarah currently leads the research group "BioMaterialities – Transformation of Nature, Production, Reproduction, and Politics in the High-Tech Bioeconomy" at Humboldt University Berlin, Germany. Her previous work experience includes research positions at Free University Berlin and the Institute for Future Studies and Technology Assessment in Berlin, where she served as Head of Research for Sustainability and Transformation. She has been a research fellow at Ottawa University in Canada, the Technical University of Munich in Germany, and the Colegio de México in Mexico. She received her PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from Kassel University in Germany in 2014. Her research interests encompass the politics of sustainability and transformation, political ecology, the political economy of food and agriculture, science and technology studies, and feminist perspectives on society-nature relations and technology.
