About

Prof. Wurster (*1980) focuses in his research on policy analysis in areas with a strong reference to sustainability, such as education, research, innovation, environmental and energy policy. His specific research interests include the comparison of democracies and autocracies as well as different instruments of policy regulation. Prof. Wurster studied Political Science, History and Public Law in Heidelberg and Barcelona. He completed his PhD in 2010 with “summa cum laude”. From 2009 to 2015 he was scientific associate in Heidelberg. In 2010, he commenced his postdoctoral research project on the subject of “Sustainability and Regime Type”, for which he successfully passed the interim evaluation in 2013. From 2012 to 2015 he coordinated the doctoral study course, “Performance of politics in autocratic and democratic regimes”. After that he was from 2015 to 2016 assistant professor at the University of Trier. Since 2016 he is Assistant Professor für Policy Analysis at the Bavarian School of Public Policy Technical University of Munich.
