Suanne is a doctoral researcher in International Relations and Environmental Politics at the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. In 2011, she started her research career in international relations and environmental issues as an undergraduate student. She holds an MSc in Environmental Change and International Development from the University of Sheffield, UK. She has worked as both a teacher and a research assistant, mainly in her home country, Mexico, and the UK. She has also collaborated with international NGOs promoting equal development. Within the GlocalClim project at Stockholm University, she examines the sociological legitimacy perceptions of indigenous communities towards global adaptation governance institutions.
