Tara Bartlett is currently a doctoral candidate in ASU's Educational Policy Evaluation program. Tara’s research interests include civic education, participatory democracy, and educational policy. Previously, Tara worked as a public middle school educator in Title I Arizona schools teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies. Tara has been recognized with several awards for her efforts in fostering youth civic engagement and for being an advocate for all students. Tara has led and served on several youth civic engagement research projects, including the Civic Education and Community Engagement Committee, School Participatory Budgeting studies, the Educating for American Democracy project, and the Project Citizen Research Program.
