Thibaud's research investigates the exercise of regulatory powers by European Agencies and he will be defending his PhD thesis “Discreet Power through Reputation: The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control” in the Fall 2020. His work on the ECDC features in European Policy Analysis, Health Economics Policy and Law and West European Politics
