I am an Assistant Professor in Education at the University of Nottingham (UK). Before I joined UoN, I was a Senior Lecturer in International Education at Bath Spa University (UK). I am a PhD and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK). My doctoral research, completed in the University of Bristol (UK), was on ‘Donor Logic of Chinese Educational Aid to Africa’. I was awarded a BA in Educational Administration and an MA in Comparative Education at Beijing Normal University (China). My research interests include globalisation, international aid of education, China-Africa cooperation, higher education policy and other educational issues in relation to the global political economy.
