I am a scholar of EU law, migration and legal mobilization. I study courts and legal actors from a law-and-society perspective, paying attention to how political preferences and available resources (both financial and intellectual) shape litigation patterns. I am working on my book on the mobilization of migration law before the Court of Justice of the EU, unveiling how, why and when civil society actors convince national judges to refer preliminary references.
