As a scholarly society run by political scientists, for political scientists, ECPR is keen to help our community with their career goals, throughout their career. Every month, ECPR Member institutions advertise vacancies in our Jobs Bulletin, by email and on Twitter. We also run our Methods School to help scholars take their skills to the next level, and we have a range of opportunities for scholars to raise their profile by getting involved in governance.

Methods School

Our Methods School offers up-to-date methods training across the whole range of methodologies (and across different paradigms and approaches), which are particularly salient for research questions in political science and neighbouring disciplines.

Courses deal with all stages of a project and cater to the needs of research at macro and micro level. They are also available at several levels. They cover quantitative and qualitative designs as well as positivist and interpretative perspectives.

Governance

Did you know that we're holding elections for our next Steering Committee? This group of political scientists is elected by our membership, and is responsible for both the long-term strategic and day-to-day running of the organisation.

These positions are open to all. We also welcome the participation of our community in a range of other capacities, including OR positions, Methods School instructors, Editorships and editorial board roles, Standing Group or Research Network Steering Committees, and far more.
