The Conference takes place on the University's Blindern Campus:
Eilert Sundts hus
Moltke Moes vei 31
0851 Oslo
Registration and the exhibition of books and software will run throughout the event, in Eilert Sundts hus.
Panels take place in Eilert Sundts hus, George Sverdrups hus, P.A. Munchs hus, Harriet Holters hus, Helga Engs hus and Georg Morgenstiernes hus. See campus map. Find out more on the University website.
The Blindern Campus lies just outside the city centre, and is easily accessible by public transport; about 10 minutes by metro and 15–20 minutes by tram.
Tramlines 17 and 18 are currently replaced by buses between Jernbanetorget and Holbergs plass. See Tram map. We advise using the Metro to get from the city centre to the University.
The Plenary Lecture takes place at the University Aula (Domus Media, Karl Johansgate 47) in Oslo city centre. The Aula is spectacularly decorated with paintings by the celebrated Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. From Blindern Campus, it's a six-minute journey on Metro lines 4 or 5 from Forskningsparken to Nationaltheatret, from which it's a 2-3 minute walk.
The opening reception following the Plenary Lecture will take place at the Opera House (Kirsten Flagstads Plass 1), next to Oslo Central Station (Jernbanetorget). From the Aula to the Opera House it’s a pleasant 15 – 20 minute walk down the main street Karl Johan. See map of Oslo city centre. Alternatively, travel two stops (three minutes) on the Metro from Nationaltheatret to Jernbaneorget, from which the Opera House is an eight-minute walk.
Cards are accepted for all transactions throughout the campus. Make cash withdrawals at grocery stores 'Bunnpris' at Frederikke, or 'Kiwi' on John Colletts plass.
