Quality of Democracy in Southern Europe.

Abstract

This panel examines the continuity and change in the overall quality of democracy in Southern Europe. It explores the impact of political polarisation on democratic governance, success and failure of autocratic regimes in terms of output efficiency as well as the relationship between quality of government and trust in times of crisis.
