Abstract

Recent and rapid developments in the use of computer assisted text analysis have radically transformed the manner in which parliamentary speech is researched by political scientists. This panel capitalizes on these advances to present a series of papers in which parliamentary speech as recorded in Hazard and official records is subjected to the critical eye of text-as-data software in order to find "big" results on "small" talk.
