Abstract

Today’s media environment tends to demand simplified, reductionist arguments. This can risk curbing the propagation of analytical-scientific research. But it also opens opportunities for the unique format of academic blogs – and that's where The Loop contributes with innovative analyses. A blog article’s accessible shorter format, potential reach beyond academe, and swift turnaround time makes blogging an important part of a contemporary scholar’s research profile. Launched in autumn 2020, The Loop disseminates cutting-edge political science articles, realising greater levels of influence for academics in government and public life. Publishing with The Loop can spark debate on topics of global importance. It can also and help you build up valuable citations by linking back to your academic research in books and journals. Do you want to get your research noticed by a wider audience, in a more accessible, open-source format? This session will guide you through the process.
