Abstract

This panel examines the perception and evaluation of women leaders during periods of crisis and recovery across a vast array of countries worldwide. Scholars focus on different types of positions of influence including but not limited to heads of state and government, governors, and feminist bureaucrats. Crisis types explored encompass health (COVID-19, Ebola) security, and climate. Scholars also address the role of gender in perceptions of crisis leadership and the influence of key actors on policy responses.
