The EU has experienced a number of crises over the years, not least in the post-2010 period. Some of these crises have shaken the EU to its very roots and have even brought into doubt the very future of the integration process This panel draws on chapters to be included in a forthcoming book (Nugent, Rhinard, and Paterson, 2020), which in turn build on chapters published in a previously successful and well received book (Dinan, Nugent and Paterson, 2017). The papers in this panel cover both theoretical ground and also some of the more contentious aspects of the EU’s most recent and major crises. They comprise the chapters of the upcoming book, which this roundtable discusses and publicizes.
