Abstract

Many methodological debates in political theory have focused on what it means for political theory to be 'political' in a sense beyond simply having politics as its subject matter. These include questions about whether there is a distinctively political type of normativity, whether political theory is less idealising than moral theory, whether political theory should be more attentive to practical feasibility, etc. The panel focuses on a number of these related debates.
