The energy transition and the Global South The energy transition presents opportunities in terms of green industrialization for countries in the Global South, but it also entails significant policy challenges. This panel welcomes paper submissions discussing political economy, governance and socio-economic aspects of decarbonization in non-OECD contexts. Though not limited to it, the section is particularly interested in perceptions and acceptance of the energy transition, also from a comparative perspective; normative approaches, notably related to energy justice; the emerging trade-climate link, including CBAM; and the comparative public policy of national decarbonization pathways.
