This workshop explores the process of writing towards publishing academic work, which is central to securing jobs and promotions, and to disseminating ideas to the world. It will focus on the process of writing, editing, and revising your work before submitting to publication and address the difficulties in the process of publication and the additional challenges that women-identify and non-binary researchers as well as gender and politics researchers face. The workshop will discuss tools, habits, and techniques available to help researchers write more, edit more quickly, and publish impactful research in academic outlets. It will include subunits on goal setting, developing a writing habit, and managing your research pipeline. Registration for the workshop is closed. Coffee break will be served during the workshop.
