In the past decade, several crises unfolded that deeply affected our societies: the global financial crisis of 2008-2009, the Covid-19 pandemic health crisis resulting in economic turmoil, the crisis of the democratic order, the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This state of multiple and unprecedented intersecting crises creates all sorts of opportunities for corruption at both domestic and transnational levels. It also compromises trust and collective actions to react to corruption. This panel brings together papers that explore links between different types of crisis and corruption. It welcomes different methodological approaches to advance knowledge on the topic.
