Abstract

How do populist parties frame democracy? How do mainstream parties react to this framing? The panel includes papers with a specific focus on how memories, media and citizens´ perceptions contribute to the framing of the populist message. This allows to make sense of the different strategies that mainstream parties adopt in facing the surge of populism.
