International migration represents one of the most salient issues in public and political debates, as well as a key topic of political research. Accordingly, the analysis of attitudes toward migration, its drivers and the magnitude and direction of its changes are frequently debated issues in the political science literature. This panel contributes to the debate on the salience and politicisation of immigration and emigration, bringing together different theoretical, empirical and methodological contributions to the study of this phenomenon in Europe and beyond.
