Abstract

This panel will interrogate the effect of new technologies and platforms on the proliferation of voice, action, and resistance to human rights abuse and injustice. The papers seek to nuance any suggestion that new technologies and data are necessarily positive for human rights, but do point towards ways in which these spaces and technologies can be utilized by different actors.
