This panel studies the lines of conflict in society and in the party system. In this perspective, particular attention is paid to smaller, radical and new populist parties, which have become more relevant in the context of fragmented party systems. The analyses can be both comparative or focused on case studies, moreover they can be conducted at the level of public opinion/voters, parties, or the relations between these two levels.
