Abstract

The papers in this panel analyze the implementation of monetary policy in the Euro area, including the epistemic influence of professional economists on the policies of central bankers, the negotiation over inflation targeting, the exceptional measures adopted following the recent financial crisis, and how these measures have shaped the patterns of debt accumulation in France.
