Economic Governance, Competitiveness, Monetary and Fiscal Policy

"After nearly two decades marked by financial and economic crises, the European Union is once again facing significant economic challenges. Externally, a profoundly changed geopolitical and geoeconomic context is putting EU member states and institutions under stress, with wide-ranging economic and fiscal implications. Internally, new economic rules and practices, such as the revised Stability and Growth Pact, require implementation and adaptation. This Section welcomes full Panel proposals and individual Paper proposals on all aspects of European economic governance, including but not limited to: industrial policy, competition policy, monetary policy, the EU budget and macro-economic coordination. We welcome contributions from all theoretical and methodological perspectives, and particularly encourage submissions that bridge European economic governance with other disciplinary traditions, such as comparative political economy, international political economy, and studies of democracy and legitimacy. Those submitting full Panel proposals are strongly encouraged to ensure diversity in panel composition broadly defined."
