Abstract

This panel examines faith-based organizations as actors in political and public life. It explores how these organizations engage with states, political parties, and civil society in areas such as welfare provision, advocacy, and policy-making. Drawing on comparative and empirical perspectives, the panel analyzes the conditions under which faith-based organizations support, challenge, or reshape political authority and democratic governance.
