Abstract

This panel examines the rise, institutionalization, and societal diffusion of far-right politics. Bringing together research on party strategy, militant democracy, anti-gender mobilization, discursive imaginaries, and local-level extremist attitudes, the panel offers a multi-level account of how populist radical right actors interact with democratic institutions—and how democratic systems respond.
