Abstract

The aim of this panel is to provide an overview on the research agenda on the state of democracy. The organizers invite the interested paper givers to provide 1) theoretical contributions in relation to the quality of democracy and the evaluation of change in the democratic regimes, using different approaches and methodologies 2) empirical insights of the ongoing transformations in democracies in a comparative perspective in one or more dimensions of the quality of democracy, focusing on institutions, political and social actors, norms and values
