Abstract

In the past decade the demand for natural resources of all kinds – energy, mineral, water and food - have dramatically risen, specifically in the rapidly developing Asian countries. Access to these resources has therefore become increasingly politicised, with serious repercussions for security and interstate relations. This panel seeks to investigate both these tensions and their consequences.
