Abstract

This panel seeks to address the impact that the end of the Cold war had in facilitating multilateral cooperation in peacekeeping and international intervention, as well as the more active role of the United Nations in crises worldwide that the withdrawal of the Soviet veto in the UN Security Council made possible.
