The paper focuses on significant, but under researched Bilderberg Group as a prominent example of the private platforms, which serve for regular meeting and socializing (and perhaps also coordinating) of the global elite (its Western part) or the transnational capitalist class (as neo-Marxists put it).
The attention will be paid to the role of Bilderberg in the last ten years with the aim to identify the participants, places and topics of the individual gatherings and their potential impact on some of the subsequent developments. Moreover, it will be highlighted how Bilderberg expands by inviting new hosts from post-communist European countries as these states have been incorporated into global capitalist system and Atlanticist coalition.
In addition, the paper intends to touch on the emerging public discourse on Bilderberg in influential west European newspapers, since this club has fully appeared in mass media only recently.
