Abstract

While we have been discussing Conceptual Changes related to European Integration in the last Section in Glasgow, this time the focus will be set on conceptualizing the multilevel system that developed due to European integration. The focus will be shifted towards the conceptual changes that occurred within the nation states and with regard to (formerly) nation-state centered concepts such as citizenship, state, government or democracy. The panel will be open for papers discussing both empirical cases and conceptual or theoretical considerations.
