Abstract

The study of political networks serves a key role in our understanding of a wide range of political behaviours, including voting and other forms of political participation. This panel will include papers that apply network ideas, from both substantive network theory and methodological innovations, to the study of participation and voting. We are also open to papers that focus on network approaches to public opinion and electoral studies not covered in other organized section panels. We are particularly interested in papers that being new data to bear on critical questions in the area, regardless of methodological approach, that use existing data to pose new and interesting questions of substance or method, or that explore the impact of network mechanisms in detail.
