Abstract

The contributions to this panel examine the differences between interest organizations in the ways in which they are involved in the public policy process. Together they assess the effects of both ‘supply’ factors such as group type, interests and preferences, and ‘demand’ factors such as institutional structures and needs of policy makers. Some contributions focus on a distinct types of organization, some on a specific policy initiative and others on a specific venue.
