Abstract

This Panel deals with politics as well as policy areas concerning the question how boundaries between the in-group and out-groups are drawn. Against this backdrop, papers in this panel focus on the trade-offs between policy outcomes and identity, the role of education policy for identity making, the impact on visa regimes on global identity politics and “othering”.
