Abstract

Democratic regimes face an increasing number of both external and internal disturbance and harassment. These include disinformation campaigns, micro targeting, cyber bullying or attacks and voter manipulation. How are democracies copying with these threats and how to ensure that the means to protect the system will not jeopardize the core principles of liberal democracy?
