Abstract

The panel will discuss characteristics, key analytical concepts as well as recent developments in feminist uses and re-conceptualizations of governmentality. A key issue for this panel is to explore the challenges and possibilities for feminists using governmentality and how different analytical concepts work with governmentality. In the panel there are theoretical and methodological papers as well as papers where theoretical issues emerge in the analysis of various empirical phenomenon. The panel pin-points challenges for feminist governmentalities in taking on central dimensions of studies of politics e.g. democracy, populism, affects, social reproduction and sexuality.
