Artistic Witness in Conflict Through Music

This paper identifies and analyses the role of musical witness within conflict societies, especially with reference to small communities, addressing this through the prism of two case studies in Israel's Occupied Territories. It proposes music as a form of witnessing and recounting, serving as cultural and historical heritage under occupation, as well as underpinning the need for a change in the status quo.
