In this paper I study immigrants’ descriptive representation in eight industrialized democracies. Using the Representation Index (Bloemraad 2013) I examine how well specific immigrant groups are represented in national parliaments. Furthermore, I investigate how the characteristics of electoral systems, political parties, and electoral districts affect immigrants’ access to power.
