This Paper will analyze the different perceptions MPs have developed about their function of representation in Parliaments. Differences among parties, gender and age will be explored. Evidence will come from a set of semi structured interviews (60) carried out in seven regional parliaments in Spain. The study will be complemented by an analysis of how MPs relate with citizens through twitter during several political campaigns in Spain. The analysis of TICs used by parliamentarians will allow to better understand how TICs complement the representative function developed in Parliaments.
