Abstract

Anticorruption for Ceva and Ferretti is a component of a public ethics of office accountability aimed at restoring an interactively just institutional setting. This conception entails going beyond standard regulatory or punitive approaches and developing good practices to supplement current strategies of institutional reform or to promote good governance standards. So anticorruption is a commitment of public ethics aimed at guiding officeholders’ conduct as the occupants of institutional roles to oppose political corruption by restoring office accountability. This contribution critically discusses the practical advantages and limits of this approach.
