Abstract

Corruption has been analyzed as a political, social, economic, etc. phenomenon. These are a series of factors that have made it possible to identify its main causes and reduce the complexity of this object of study. However, corruption has never been analyzed as a pathology. In this approach, the application of epidemiological models of contagion will allow us to observe which are the most probable causes of the spread of corruption to different administrative units. Once we have identified the main causes of contagion and the way in which it spreads through the administration, we can carry out simulations to determine the degree to which factors such as transparency hinder its propagation.
