Whose Feminism is legitimate? An attempt to decolonize the EU's Women, Peace and Security agenda

Drawing on academic literature from regional governance and legitimacy research, this paper selects the EU's Women, Peace and Security agenda as a case to study the extent how Eurocentric feminist theories are manifested in EU Gender Policies. Therefore, this research looks at the EU's statements being made during the annual open debate on WPS in the UN Security Council, with the aim to analyze whether the EU is reproducing a neo-colonial narrative to legitimate its own WPS policies.
