Abstract

This paper analyses the determinants of sexist attitudes in three different contexts: Germany, Spain, and the UK where we collected original survey data. Going beyond the identification of the profile of people who are more likely to present sexist attitudes, the paper scrutinizes the role of gender identities versus partisan identification in explaining different kind of sexist attitudes across three diverse democratic systems and explore differences across them
