Abstract

According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, The Armed Conflict Survey 2023 launch, 183 regional and local conflicts are ongoing in the world today in 2023, the highest number in the last three decades. At the same time, migration flows are growing and completely new waves are emerging. The study focuses on the life stories of many refugees from Ukraine (formerly residents of the city of Mariupol, which was almost destroyed in 2022) who migrated to more than 30 countries. The paper will discuss the existing threats and opportunities for the modern world, firstly, to prepare a report on practical steps already taken by countries that receive migrants. Secondly, to prepare general recommendations considering the threats and opportunities of the relevant trends.
