Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the degree and the determinants of interest group participation in health policy-making in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The article examines whether and how the different varieties of communism shaped the different trajectories of transformation regarding the health care systems, interest intermediation patterns and populations ecologies. Against this background, the results of a quantitative survey regarding group characteristic is presented.
