Abstract

Tania Verge is Professor of Politics and Gender at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and Director of UPF’s Equality Unit (2014 and 2021). Her main research interests are in gender and politics, with focus on how political parties and parliaments are patterned through gender and on resistance to the adoption and implementation of equality policies. She has developed and employed FI extensively in her work and is a member of FIIN. Between 2021 and 2024, she was the minister of Equality and Feminisms of the Government of Catalonia. She currently serves as an elected MP in the Parliament of Catalonia.
