Our jury selected Luis L. Schenoni of University College London as the 2024 winner, in recognition of his outstanding academic record. They highlighted his significant contributions to the discipline, his strong commitment to teaching and research supervision, and his dedication as a frequent reviewer of journal manuscripts.

Combining cutting-edge methods with a careful attention on causal mechanisms, Luis' book, Bringing War Back In: Victory, Defeat, and the State in Nineteenth Century Latin America, provides a powerful example of solid comparative research.
